    Summary

    New experimental techniques based on fixation of gas-liquid interface image to control and describe 2D and 3D effects of two-phase flows are described. The developed signal processing algorithm enables to obtain extensive information about the behavior of a bubble and a liquid droplet in two-phase flows: its three-dimensional trajectory, the three component velocity fluctuations, the contour and size of the dispersed phase. Examples of using the developed technique for the study of two-phase bubble flows are provided.

    Summary

    Modern development of power system is characterized by the reduction of share of an expensive liquid fuel use which is a valuable raw material for the refining industry and the increasing use of solid fuels. Stockpiles of high coal deposits are depleted due to the increase share of solid fuels. Furthermore, there is deterioration in the quality of solid fuels extracted by mining method. The transition to the development of powerful coal fields mined in the open way and its use as a fuel for power plants and other fuelusing devices are connected with certain difficulties. The main reason is high cost and power consumption of preparatory process in burning.

    Summary

    The present article is devoted to the development and establishment of low-power multiblade wind turbines for generate electricity using blades with dynamically changeable form. The prototype of wind turbine with dynamically changeable surface shaped blades was developed. The aerodynamic characteristics of the prototypes of blades of a wind turbine with dynamically changeable form were investigated. As a result of experimental researches dependence of the aerodynamic traction force from the speed and attack angle of wind flow, the rotation frequency of the wind turbine from the flow speed were obtained.

    Summary

    The paper presents the results of experimental studies on determination of the drag and lift force of a rotating cylinder with a porous surface within the airflow velocity range from 5 to 13 m/s (Re = 40,000-105,000) at a constant rotation of the cylinder around its axis. There are also presented the results of studies of drag and lift force of a single rotating cylinder within the range of the cylinder revolutions number around its axis from 400 to 1,400 rev/min at a constant air flow rate. It is shown that the drag coefficient and the lift force coefficient depend on the Reynolds number and the cylinder revolutions number. The dependence of the coefficients of aerodynamic characteristics on the degree of porosity of the surface of the rotating cylinder is established.

    Summary

    Nanostructured LiCoO2 powders were prepared by Carbon combustion synthesis of oxide method using carbon as starting materials. The thermo-gravimetric analysis was used to identify interaction features in the system LiNO3 – Co3O4 – Carbon to produce LiCoO2. X-ray diffraction showed that the as-synthesised product were single phase. The crystalline nanoparticles synthesized were nearly spherical, and their average particle diameters ranged from 60 to 200 nm. Cyclic voltammetry and charge-discharge experiments were applied to characterize the electrochemical properties of the powders as cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries. The cyclic voltammogram curves indicated faster diffusion and migration of Li+ cations in the nanostructured LiCoO2 electrode. In the first charge-discharge process, the material showed the capacity of 200 (mAh)/g.

    Summary

    The article includes the following topics: obtaining coatings in the conditions of deposition of multicomponent plasma flow and study the structure of the obtained coatings; the influence of ion and laser irradiation on the structure and properties of multiphase coatings. A direct impact on the structure and physical properties of coatings obtained by ion-plasma deposition, provide the following parameters, which are determined experimentally: the pressure of a reactive gas in the working chamber; potential basis; discharge current of the arc; the properties of the material of the cathode; the temperature of the substrate. Work is executed under the program of Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan 055 «Scientific and/or scientific-technical activities», subprogramme 101 «Grant funding for research».

    Summary

    The article discusses the results of use of electric pulse technology for processing metal-containing raw materials. It shows the results of the analysis of the elemental composition of ore samples from Nurkazgan and Annensk deposits in Kazakhstan before and after electric pulse processing. The authors obtained data on changes in properties of the samples and on increase in weight concentration of some elements, including rare metals after the electric pulse processing. Application of electric pulse processing of metal-containing and technogenic raw materials makes it possible to obtain dispersion materials with preset parameters and it facilitates efficient extraction of valuable components. It was established that the electric pulse processing technology may be used in practice in enrichment process of metal-containing raw materials.

In operation, is implemented the algorithm programmable logic array in the language of Verilog. There are examples of programs. The result has been designed digital test signal generator for impedance meter.
